I am very new to WordPress, which many will likely find evident from my post below, but I have found a solution (and a remaining problem).
I just dealt with the exact same problem (privacy error/SSL issue).
I tried to re-index the site through Google, which did not do anything to solve the problem.
However, when I downloaded Yoast SEO Plugin (and used the guided set up, where I basically did anything that was recommended), I was led to ONPage.org, where I set up an account and did a crawl on the site. Through installing Yoast and letting ONPage do its thing, the problem ended up resolving itself. I do not know why, but the issues which show up on Google search console (after indexing) are now gone.
However, I can’t get rid of the exact same error when I do a search on my (android) phone. Accessing the site through search is fine using both Chrome and Firefox on my desktop.
So, anyone know how to make it work on a mobile?
