This will be fixed in the next version. However, not all videos have a maxresdefault image (especially older videos); in those cases, the plugin will still fall back to hqdefault.

From what we’ve learned about that site, the tool only supports embedding your own private videos. We can consider this in the future if it does not violate any YouTube terms of service.

We recommend that you check to see if you’ve created the API correctly. Often times, folks will put the IP address restrictions instead of the 2 domain link styles:

Your theme is overriding the way the image is supposed to be positioned. Please add this CSS to your theme:

Give us some time to see what could be going on with the Pagespeed test. In the meantime, can you let us know if Pagespeed still reports about youtube widget js, if you temporarily turn WP Rocket off?
