In reply to: [Seriously Simple Podcasting] HTML in series description?Bump. Would love an answer to this as it would also answer the Q posed in this thread.
Bumping this: @hlashbrooke, can you weigh in on whether there’s a workaround – or a plan for future development – for HTML support in channel/episode descriptions?
I’m finding this to be a serious drawback for an otherwise amazing plugin; not being able to link to guests’ websites / social media accounts / projects, and other resources, is quite limiting.
I can imagine the potential headaches involved in supporting HTML, so I sympathize with the choice to strip it – but if there’s a workaround you can suggest, I would be hugely appreciative.
Thanks so much for all the work you’ve done in making, maintaining, and supporting this plugin.
I have a related question, I think: I want to embed links in the channel description, which according to the documentation, strips out all HTML. So, I understand that may be a feature not a bug from the developer’s perspective, but I’m hoping there might be a workaround.
What I’m hoping to do is embed links to the podcast website and related websites – just simple links like the ones in the 99% Invisible RSS feed. Is there no workaround for this?
