1. change theme – I cannot – or more accurate – I am afraid to change my theme because my studiopress-genesis theme is heavily customized, and I don’t want to take a chance of having a problem when I return back to it…
2. “not recommend to “mend” the theme by developers unless they are the creators” – Yes I absolutely agree and take this advice of yours – Thanks!Anyways, I have referred this problem to my coder who is very good, and I hope to find a good solution.

I tried inserting an excel table with the TablePress plugin, and found the same problem:
Preview of webpage shows the inserted adress code but does not open that to present the content.
So, I checked in further at the TablePress support forum, and found this answers by the developer to the same problem:
“if you are only seeing the Shortcode, this means that your theme is not properly interpreting Shortcodes that are entered in that text field.
I can only suggest to contact the theme developers about this”.
Shortcode and the custom theme… that’s probably screwing up.
Any ideas on this, or perhaps if you could recommend a developer that could fix this?

Perhaps an important piece of information:
I was looking into the issue of the red debug button that was on while we were on our Skype conversation because I never noticed that debug being red ever before.
So anyways, I deactivated Docxpresso and now when I go to making a new post, everything is as before, and without the debug button being red (on).
So I hope this would help focus the troubleshooting…

The original mother theme is StudioPress Genesis Theme, but it has been customized by my designer, so I don’t know how much was changed.
I’m not sure if I understood you correctly, but I opened a new page, wrote some sample text and added the excerpt as follow:Lets test this excerpt.

Well, I tried your suggestion on a half page document, but the problem is still there.
So it’s not because of complexity.
I had really high hopes for this plugin – hope this could be sort out.
