It doesn’t work with GoDaddy’s managed WordPress setup, which is a fairly popular hosting solution – who knows how many sites are nonfunctional because of this?
Unfortunately, toggling the VERIFY_PEER variable is one of the first things I tried–it has been set to false in all of my tests since.
