My firefox is 3.6.17. I’ll need to get FF4 and see if that makes a difference.

Well, I followed your testjava link and I was using an older version. But didn’t solve the problem, then I started thinking about how different browsers use all of that stuff differently (html, java, ect) and tried a different browser. I usually use firefox but I have chrome installed and tried that and the silly thing works just fine… go fig.
So as long as I use chrome the problem seems to be solved. 🙂

Thanks for the response but I didn’t install anything other than wordpress it’s self. I did check the link you gave and looked at the database and the wp_options active_plugin is all ready set to a:0:{}.
