Yes, for some reason, changing the width in the css file for the plugin would not work for me, I had to open the css file of the theme, and I found in a string in there for contact width; by changing this, it worked for the plugin.
Generally in your main theme css file, there is an option for width, you’ll need to adjust it in there. I had this same issue using the RT theme 11.
