Under “Appearance..Menus” See “Custom Links”.
Create a custom link with your home page as the url.
Name the link “Home”, add it to your menu and position it in the order in which you want it to appear.
(Be sure you are adding it to your active menu if you have created more than one.)
Save it and it will appear on all your pages and posts as “Home”.

Create a transparent 960*200 image with no outline. Place your 960*100 image on top, positioning the top image where you want it to appear in the header.
Combine and upload. The theme will accept it without cropping.
