We’re working on some tweaks to the interface, but yes, NextGEN has a lot of options. If you have any specific suggestions on how to keep the rich option set but make it simpler for your team, just let us know. Thanks! (Erick)
@ccloud – I actually think your comment on NextGEN – Media library integration is relevant. NextGEN does keep it’s images separate from the media library, which has some advantages and some drawbacks. We are actually releasing a nicer interface for importing images directly from the media library to NextGEN. We’re hoping that will be out in one of the next major releases.
I guess my main question might be: given everything that NextGEN does and does well, do you really think that limited media library integration warrants a one-star review? What would you rate NGG if it did everything it current does, but also had fuller media library integration?

Hi all – For those who haven’t already patched this with the instructions above, we’ve just released a public beta with a few fixes, including one for this issue:

If you test that and confirm the issue is resolved let us know. We’d love to get independent confirmation from a few other sources. But otherwise, we’re hoping to push this as an official release tomorrow. Thanks. (Erick)
