As you can see the Time To First Byte is the huge issue at hand.

After inspecting the elements in Google Chrome and going to the “Network” tab, I see the images in your slider are taking ~5 seconds in total to load.
I believe if you can get the load times on those images lower – or perhaps lazy load the images – you will see much lower load times.
