    Hi iashburner,

I’m glad my tip helped you! Unfortunately, I have not been able to come up with a solution and as you can see the developer of the plugin hasn’t responded either. I have tried multiple plugins and haven’t gotten any to work as I would like (if at all). This one was the best I could find… until it broke for me and so I’ve been w/o a portfolio ever since.

I take it if there have been any updates to the plugin and with the updates to WordPress it still doesn’t work.

Has nobody else had this issue? I am now running the latest version of WordPress (4.7.1) but have been hesitant to try this plugin again.

What I had to do to fix the issue was:
    – Rename the ‘tablepress’ folder in the plugins folder
    – Install the plugin (no longer complains)
    – Miraculously still shows all the tables I had created and they work in the posts and pages they were added to. Kudos to the developer on this one as made me a happy customer!

Still not sure why it failed in the first place and uninstalled everything during the update process.

    Thanks,
    Devin

So is this only the case if nothing has actually been published? If you have something (a post or page) in a draft state only it will be deleted but if you have published (made available publicly) then that will remain?

I am trying to find a way to optimize my site as I find it has slowed down.

    Thanks,
    Devin

Thanks for the suggestion; however, I am looking for one that is free. I did some looking around and came across Portfolio Gallery which I am in the process of testing to see if the free version will suit my needs. I don’t want to just show an image but to link to a post (is the way I’m doing it right now) or a page (the way it was before, handled by the plugin) with more images/screenshots and further details about the project.

My site is still very much a work in progress! 🙂

    Thanks again,
    Devin

    Hi,

Thanks Suyogya, it was indeed a plugin conflict. It turned out to be with the
Aeolus plugin that I planned to use for my portfolio. Which seems to come down to, since I’ve been keeping WordPress updated, I’m running a version of WP above the level which the plugin supports / has been tested on so I guess theirs finally been a breaking change when coupled with this theme update anyways.

Anyone know of a quality, fully responsive, portfolio plugin that works well with the Quark theme and latest WP update?

I’ll still mark the topic as resolved, since finding a replacement is likely above and beyond.

    Thanks again,
    Devin

    Hi Anthony,

Thank you for getting back. My site is dwcryan.com.

Any thoughts would be appreciated. Please let me know if you require further info from me. I did recently update the tanslations and WordPress is at 4.5.3 now.

    Thanks,
    Devin

I am having the same issue. Ever since updating I had to modify current shortcodes to get things to display properly (i.e. the 3 column fruiful ibox) but no matter what I do the slider will not appear on the home page. I have done the following:

    • Removed old slider shortcode
    • Checked/modified slider settings from Theme Options -> Slider
    • In the page set the slider settings (tried both “full width” & “boxed” options) and updated the page

None of this worked and I am unable to get the slider to appear. There is at least one image added to the slider through the theme options (originally had more, but was trying different combinations, just encase their was a bug in the number of slides).

    Please advise.

Thanks in advance for your help.
