Create a “Classic” block, and then the button will show up in the toolbar, like it did under the classic editor. 🙂

WOO HOO!
Figured it out. The domain mapping, for some reason, did not “take”. I looked at the wp_domain_mapping table, and all my other sites were there, but not that one. I don’t know *why* it worked before, but an INSERT on that table made everything work out!

Some other things I’ve tried–clearing caches and cookies, and even on a different computer, where I’ve not ever accessed the site before. Different browsers…even installing a new one, just for the try. I’ve set COOKIE_DOMAIN to ”, as suggested elsewhere, which just gave me a “COOKIE DOMAIN is set, don’t do that” on the whole network.
I keep trying stuff…but it’s just *one* of my sites. It’s mind-bendy.
