    I have tried the proposed method with a separate testing contact form, but the same issue persists.

    I’m thinking more and more that it will be linked to SPF and Dmarc, and will probably depend on how the mail sent from the Contact Form is generated.

    The setting used is the one that One.com recommends here. Maybe the SPF record does not include the server that is generating this e-mail?

    v=spf1 include:_custspf.one.com ~all

    I did some further tests and found that the Sender Name does get displayed correctly for what is put in the “To” field, it is only the “From” field that has this issue.

    As this has to do with mails being sent from a specific address, could this have to do with Dmarc and SPF settings maybe?

    I have checked the source code for both recent mails and older mails (in which it shows correctly).

    Mails up to 10/06 show formatting such as this:

    ==> From: “Praktijk Accolade | Person” <Person@praktijkaccolade.be>

    Mails after 01/07 (including the ones sent from troubleshooting mode) show:

    ==> From: Person@praktijkaccolade.be

    Hello,

    Using the “Problem Solving Mode” from Health Check & Troubleshooting I performed this action. I used theme “Twenty Twenty Five” and activated only Flamingo and Contact Form 7 (Yoast SEO was deactivated). The mail I received still did not list the correct “Sender Name” 🙁

    I also tried with Flamingo deactivated, same result. I checked the received e-mails both in Gmail and in Thunderbird, no Sender Name was listed.

    Is there maybe something wrong in the way I write the configuration? I have looked through my e-mail history to see at what point Sender Names no longer get added (I test the from from time to time). On 10/06/2025 the sender name was listed, as of 01/07/2025 it no longer was. I do not remember changing the configuration in that time period, so maybe the plugin evolved?

    For this forum post I had changed the name of the field as the actual used one is a Dutch name. Sorry for the confusion. Below is the actual, unedited text with the correct field. Mails do get sent, so I’m pretty sure the From field is valid. The only thing that doesn’t work is the Sender Name which should be the text at the front.

    From: Praktijk Accolade: [Teamkeuze_checkbox] <[Teamkeuze_checkbox]@praktijkaccolade.be>

    Hello, these are the settings in the E-mail (2) template, slightly changed for anonimity.

    To: [Email]

    From: MyCompany: [Team-picker] <[Teampicker]@mycompany.be>

    [Team-picker] is a mailtag that comes from the contact form. The other settings aren’t copied here.

    The way the “From” field is formatted should normally be okay according to this FAQ, in order to correctly show a sender Name “Mycompany: Tony” in case the name Tony is picked, but unfortunately it doesn’t work (while it did work for a long while in the past).
