In reply to: [Jetpack VideoPress] Several problems with VideopressHi there
As per the VideoPress Service Guidelines, videos should be viewed via the VideoPress player, and we’re unable to support issues resulting from using third party players. If the Share button is part of the LMS Masterstudy player, you would need to ask them for help hiding that with CSS.
By the way, since you have a paid VideoPress subscription, you can contact us via this contact form in future for faster support.
Thanks

In reply to: [Jetpack Search] Custom taxonomy filterHi Rolf
Sorry for the delay. I believe we are now in touch with you about this via email. As explained there, we currently have a fixed list of custom taxonomies that we index, as detailed here:
https://jetpack.com/support/search/frequently-asked-questions/#troubleshoot-custom-tax
You mentioned you are happy to use some of the existing supported taxonomies for now. In the meantime, if you wanted to, you could add support for taxonomies not on the list by using a filter, as explained here:
https://developer.jetpack.com/hooks/jetpack_search_allowed_taxonomies_for_widget_filters/Hope that helps!
Hi there
We are exploring the possibility of adding Mastodon support for Jetpack Social auto-sharing. I have linked to your request from our open Github issue:
https://github.com/Automattic/jetpack/issues/7790
You can follow that for updates.

In reply to: [Jetpack - WP Security, Backup, Speed, & Growth] Image urlHi there
I’m not sure I 100% follow what you are trying to do, but if the original images have the exact same URL, then they won’t be affected by installing a new WordPress and a new theme. But if the image URLs change, then they will eventually expire from our cache and will no longer be available at the old URLs.
If you can describe in more detail exactly what you are trying to do, we can advise further.
Hi there
If the Job posts use a custom post type, you need to add support for this, as explained in the FAQ here, under “How to use Jetpack Social with your Custom Post Types”:
https://jetpack.com/support/jetpack-social/social-sharing-new-posts/#further-readingHope that helps!
That sounds strange! Could you please post your site URL here so that we can have a look?
Would you also be able to share links to both Facebook pages?
If you want them to remain private, you can also contact us via this contact form. If you choose to reach out directly, please include a link to this thread.
Thanks!
Hi there
Jetpack Scan scans all files in the plugins, mu-plugins, themes, and uploads directories. So assuming your files are uploaded to one of those locations then they will be scanned.

In reply to: [Jetpack - WP Security, Backup, Speed, & Growth] rest_invalid_signatureHi there. The error message refers to the hcaptcha plugin. Could you try deactivating that plugin to see if that clears the error? If so, I’d suggest contacting the authors of that plugin. There have been some updates to Jetpack Forms recently, and they may need to update their plugin to ensure it works with the latest Jetpack update.
Hi there
How/where did you add the code? Have you tried adding it using a code snippet plugin as described here?
I can see the issue on your site, but I haven’t been able to reproduce it on a test site, which suggests that something else on your site may be conflicting.
At this point I’d suggest checking for a theme/plugin conflict using the Health Check plugin as explained here:
https://woocommerce.com/document/troubleshooting-using-health-check/
Hopefully that will help you identify a conflicting theme or plugin.
Hi Rolf
You should be able to tell Google not to index that URL via the Search Console:
https://support.google.com/webmasters/answer/9689846?hl=enHi Andreas
1) Isn´t it possible anymore to ad a self hosted site to wordpress.com without a subscription?
Yes, you can still connect a site to WordPress.com without a subscription.
2) If I try to connect the woocommerce app in my iphone to my store, this app seems to find my store now (it was not before adding the code I mentioned above). But then the app asks me to use jetpack. So using the woo-app is not possible without using jetpack?
Correct, Jetpack is required for the Woo app. You can read about that in the FAQ at the bottom of this page:
https://woocommerce.com/mobile/3) Then try to activate jetpack on my site still returns an error “An error occurred. Please try again.”
Your site’s xmlrpc.php file is working correctly now.
The connection error I’m currently seeing should be resolved by deleting and reinstalling the Jetpack plugin. Please try that and let us know if you still have trouble.
Hi there
That warning is not anything you need to be concerned about, it can happen when the data gets out of sync on your site, which appears to have happened here.
I have re-synced the data on your site, which should help. Feel free to get in touch again if you keep seeing that warning in your logs.
Hi Clifford
I’m not quite sure what you mean there. Those settings are shared between the two settings pages, so if you enable/disable them in one place, they will be enabled/disabled in the other, and vice versa.
Are you seeing something different? Can you provide steps we can take to reproduce the issue?
Hi Micah
I just tested this and the setting saved fine for me, so I would guess that something else is conflicting here.
Can you try deactivating other plugins and then saving the setting again?
