When this happens it’s usually because another plugin is filtering Jetpack’s settings. Try deactivating other plugins and see if that allows you to disable Search. You can also try disabling it via the All Modules page.
If you continue to have trouble, could you please post your site URL here so that we can have a look?
If you want it to remain private, you can also contact us via this contact form. If you choose to reach out directly, please include a link to this thread.
Thanks!
Do you have this option enabled in your stats settings at Jetpack > Settings > Traffic > Jetpack Stats?
They definitely shouldn’t see any private information about your site. I checked this on a test site and Subscribers could not see traffic or any other information about the site. Could you link to a screenshot showing what the subscriber can see on the Jetpack

In reply to: [Jetpack - WP Security, Backup, Speed, & Growth] GoodReads WidgetHi there
It looks like you’ve added a Goodreads widget in the right sidebar as well as in your footer.
I do see the book image in the footer widget, but the widget is the full width of the page so it doesn’t look great. Can you remove the widget from the footer, and make sure you just have one Goodreads widget in your sidebar, then let us know if you still have trouble?
Hi there
The Jetpack menu is visible because it’s possible for Subscriber users to connect their account to WordPress.com so they can use certain Jetpack features such as Notifications.
If you don’t want that, there’s a plugin you can use to show the Jetpack menu to admins only, as described here:
https://wordpress.org/support/topic/subscribers-see-a-jetpack-menu/
Hope that helps!
Hi there
Jetpack Social can only connect to Facebook Pages, not Groups. I have added this thread to our open feature request for this, so you can follow along there for any updates on that.
Hi there
Jetpack Social currently only posts to LinkedIn personal profiles. We have an open feature request for company pages here, and I’ve added your request in the comments there. You can follow that issue for any updates.
Hi there
It’s not possible to track both in parallel.
Google is sunsetting Universal Analytics (from July 2023) and it is recommended that you switch to GA4.
Visit the guide from Google to Add a Google Analytics 4 property (to a site that already has Analytics). Once you have your new ID, you can replace it in the Google Analytics setting on your site by going to Tools → Marketing → Traffic.
Sorry, I posted that before I had finished!
There may be something else installed on the site that’s causing problems.
The best way to find out if something is interfering is to test for a theme or plugin conflict. You can do that by following these steps:
- Temporarily deactivate all plugins except Jetpack, and clear your browser’s cache.
- Then, try again. If you see the block, then you know another plugin is conflicting here.
- You can reactivate plugins one by one, checking after each one to discover which plugin is causing the problem.
- You can leave that plugin deactivated and/or contact whoever makes that plugin for help resolving the issue it’s causing.
If deactivating plugins doesn’t help, it may be your theme.
- Temporarily activate a default WordPress theme like Twenty Twenty-One.
- Then, try again. If the block is there, then you know it’s a problem with the theme.
You can contact whoever makes the theme for help resolving the issue it’s causing.
Let us know how that goes.
Hi Katherine
That’s strange. When I add a new post, I see all of the Jetpack blocks that you see when adding a widget.
Hi there
I have resolved the issue with your stats, so you should see them again now.
Going forward, I’d suggest keeping your staging site in staging mode to avoid this issue happening again: https://jetpack.com/support/staging-sites/
Thanks!
No change I’m afraid. The response is:
HTTP/1.1 403 Forbidden
Date: Wed, 18 Jan 2023 12:23:50 GMTIt looks like you may have a security plugin installed that is blocking Jetpack’s requests. If you’re able to add exceptions in the plugin settings you can try that, otherwise I’d suggest disabling that security plugin so that Jetpack can connect successfully.
@batt4christ thanks. I have passed that suggestion on to our developers for consideration. We’ll reply here when we have an update on that.
Marking this resolved as it appears to be a duplicate of this thread.
Hi there. This looks like an issue with your caching settings, as it looks like one of the JS files that WP Rocket was concatenating was returning a 404, and instead of not concatenating anything in this case, it added in the contents of the 404 page, causing the error.
If you’re able to reproduce the error on a test site running only Jetpack and WP Rocket, please let us know so we can investigate further.
