Thanks… didn’t know about the post count hit. Did lots of Google and wordpress.org knowledgebase searches and nearly all of them referred to transferring from a WordPress.com hosted site to a self hosted one, not self-hosted to self-hosted. I had found that link you included, but it is also regarding transferring from a wordpress.com hosted site.
They were/are connected to the same WP account.
