Hi Rahul
It’s a very useful plugin – we use it regularly to remove clutter and streamline the WordPress admin area for clients, especially non-technical users.
A couple of observations from day-to-day use:
- It occasionally misses elements, particularly meta boxes added by plugins. This can make it tricky to fully clean-up certain edit screens.
- The interface feels quite long and a bit slow to navigate, especially on sites with lots of roles and post types.
In terms of improvements:
- A more modern, streamlined UI would be a big win. Something closer to Advanced Access Manager in terms of usability would help, although one thing Adminimize does really well is letting you see and manage multiple roles within the same view – that’s something I’d definitely keep.
- You have to re-save the Adminimize settings to see new links that have been added to the menus, etc. Maybe a feature that highlights what new links have been added recently?
- Better detection/support for third-party plugin meta boxes would make it much more reliable.
Overall though, we love the plugin a lot – great to see it getting attention again 👍
