    Joy,
I resolved my problem! Still not sure what caused it but now I know how to fix it – maybe someone else will use this knowledge. I have another site for my other business that is set on the same WP theme called “Bard”. It is a great theme btw, very functional. Anyway, my problem was caused by the Home page being a page, not a custom link. The best way to see it is in the menu structure – I opened my settings for both sites and compared them : my correctly working site in the menu structure had the Home page marked Custom Link and when I opened a drop down, it would show the link that was just the site’s address. In my incorrectly working site though my Home page was marked Page and in the drop down it would not have any link. I created a custom link, labelled it Home, with just the correct address of my site, which would be http://www.dpphotography.com.pl/ and not http://www.dpphotography.com.pl/home/ as it keept showing. Then I added the custom link to my menu, removed from the menu the page called Home – and here is my site working correctly! Best regards.

    Hello again,
Joy’s remarks led me to something I didn’t think about earlier – to check the trash. It appeared I had three different home pages – two of them in trash. I restored the oldest one, then I changed the settings from static to posts and – bingo! I got my homepage fixed, back with all my content, featured links etc. I cleaned up, emptied all my trash, cleared cookies etc. but… the victory was just partial. My homepage shows correctly only if I enter the site address http://www.dpphotography.com.pl/ . But once browsing the site and click Home on my menu – it takes me to the address http://www.dpphotography.com.pl/home/ and the page is empty, no content. What can I do to fix it??

    Joy,
I am still stuck with my problem of having Home page mixed up with Blog page. I found my original Home page in the trash and restored it and tried to make it Home page i Settings. But it brought nothing but loosing the content that is supposed to be on my front / home page which is my featured slider and featured links…

Joy, I forgot to add – I do have another site for built on the same theme called “Bard”. I built it myself earlier and did not have such issues, the page works perfectly. In case of my http://www.dpphotography.com.pl/home-2/ site I am afraid I must have messed up something as I was experimenting with different themes before I decided to choose “Bard”. After I realised the problem, I tried to change the Settings – Reading so my Home page is Home and Blog is for posts but then I loose all the content of the Home Page. The same happens if I make my homepage display the latest posts option.

    Hello Joy,
thank you kindly for your response. It looks like it might be a wrong pagination problem, but I still don’t know how to fix it. In simple words – when you initially open my site – it takes you to the Blog page instead of Home page. My Home page has the following address : http://www.dpphotography.com.pl/home-2/ – so it looks to me like somewhere on the way it got duplicated?
