James – I see, thanks for clearing this up! Apologies, I probably wasn’t explaining very clearly…
James – sure changing that url will change the calendar that the widget is pulling the events from?
I would like to keep the Google calendar connected, but change the hyperlink that is displayed for each event.
Ideally, each event name would be a distinct clickable link that would take you to an external page (Billetto, a ticket selling platform). Maybe this is not possible, however.

…where “ICALENDARURL” is a link to a Google Calendar
Thanks for your reply James. I can’t figure out how to change the shortcode of plugins. At this point I’m happy to remove the URLs and leave the events as plain text. If you could let me know how to do that, that would be great!

Whereabouts can I change each URL section on the shortcode for individual calendar entries?

I see. Thanks for your help – there seem to be a few upcoming events widgets within the Appearance > Widgets menu, including:
– Upcoming Events (Jetpack)
– Upcoming Events Calendar
– Upcoming Events ListI will post in the forum you suggested to see if they can help.
