In reply to: [Hueman] Bug: Update notification on dashboard not dismissible@nikeo, that simply is great. Thanks for this instant support and reaction. I’ll mark this as resolved then.
Greetings,
-doffineJust for this thread to be complete – perhaps it is useful for someone else. As I learned in GitHub there already is a perfectly working filter to get rid of these notifications:
add_filter('wpseo_update_notice_content','__return_null');-doffine
@priscillamc, thanks for coming back to us.
If a click on the eye would stop further new notifications all would be fine. But in the way like it is now, you will have to click it away every single time a new Yoast update came in to get a clean WordPress backend without red alarming notifications that only should show up when really something needs the admin’s attention.
This more than ever is simply annoying if you maintain many WordPress installations and not only one.
We will create a GitHub feature request as suggested by you.
Greetings,

In reply to: [WP Dashboard Notes] [Problem] WP 5.5 -> Titles Of Notes Being DeletedAdditional information: The problem still persists in WordPress 5.5.1. So the well known problematic JavaScript changes of WordPress 5.5 (that were temporarily rolled back in 5.5.1) weren’t the cause of the problem this plugin has.

In reply to: [WP Dashboard Notes] [Problem] WP 5.5 -> Titles Of Notes Being DeletedI want to add the following to the above:
– If you setup an all new dashboard note, the title persists in the first run :-), but as soon as you change something on an existing dashboard note, the title gets deleted.
– Below the dashboard note’s title there is a horizontal separating line like it is in standard dashboard boxes. This hasn’t been the case in WordPress <5.5 and for my eyes it doesn’t look as good as without the line. Without the line dashboard notes by this plugin differ a bit from standard dashboard boxes, which I personally like more.
– A new setup dashobard note has a little bit too much padding on the top compared to existing ones. After reloading the dashboard the note’s format becomes normal.—
And to be complete here another bug which could be fixed, but which has already been there with earlier WordPress versions:If you set up more than one dashboard note at once before reloading the dashboard, the order of the newly set up dashboard notes gets reversed. Try it by setting up two or three new dashboard notes one after the other and after this reload the dashboard or go to another backend page and return to the dashboard.
Because of this after setting up a few new dashboard notes at once, you first have to reload the dashboard and sort them like you want to have them which is not really nice. But to be clear: @sormano, it would be enough – or lets say by far most important – if you only would fix the title deleting bug in WP 5.5.
Thanks again very much,

In reply to: [WP Dashboard Notes] [Problem] WP 5.5 -> Titles Of Notes Being DeletedI tested this in many of our WP 5.5 installations and we find the same error everywhere here, too.
It would be so nice if this could be fixed, since this plugin is one of the few we really use in every single of our WordPress installations. It is not cool, that information is lost due to this bug.
Thank you for this great plugin and fixing this little glitch,

In reply to: [Contact Form 7] Alert Box showing after updateHey there,
we have the same issue – but only with “Avada” as theme. With dozens of other themes we don’t see this problem. PHP version doesn’t seem to be responsible, too – we tried PHP 7.1 to 7.4.
@takayukister, perhaps that helps to track down the bug.
Many greetings,
-doffineHello @gabyimagely,
thanks for coming back to us. We already switched to Fancybox, since this is running without any problems. Or wasn’t it that what you mean?
Please let us know in this thread as soon as the bug is fixed.
Thank you very much,
-doffinePS: We also completely uninstalled NGG plugin and reinstalled it – the problem persisted.

@wooassist sorry for not getting back to you in time. We just tried to translate the string “other” with Loco Translate. In Loco Translate we find the string “other” for your plugin just a single time so we must have picked the right one.
But in the frontend we go on reading “other” – not our translated string. We use German language and so we tried it in de_DE_formal AND de_DE – both are not working.
What can we do now?
Many greetings,
-doffineSame issue here.
We ask ourselves why this update is still installable although the plugin author knows about this problem for over 2 full days.
It is not necessary to let more an more people kill their WordPress installations with this known bug.
If this bug cannot be fixed asap this plugin version should not be downloadable anymore.

In reply to: [Maintenance] Bug / URL guessing@manuelrocha88 ok, we just tested your code snippet and it works.
We understood you in a way that you intended to implement this fix in the plugin itself (and the snippet would just be a workaround) so that we don’t have to put this snippet everywhere.
So now as we know your snippet works: Will you put this fix into the plugin’s next release?
Greetings,
