Okay, my probem was fixed by removing the slash in front of wp-content/uploads in the media section of settings.
I don’t have an answer, but I have a similar problem, when I try to upload images I get:
“Unable to create directory /wp-content/uploads. Is its parent directory writable by the server?”
Can anyone help?
