Many thanks for the response. I’ve been out of the office today but now returned to find that the file size quota limit has been reached yet again. The limit on file quota is within the 1and1 acceptable use policy for all plans so it’s clearly going to be an ongoing problem. I’ll certainly be taking up your advice so thanks again for that.
Just as a supplementary question – are there are any guides/examples/reports that you are aware of on what the average file size might be for a smallish Woocommerce store?

Looks like you are correct. Have checked with the hosting company. There is plenty of storage space but I have hit the limit on Number of Files. I’ve just reduced the file size by deleting unused plug-ins and this seems to have solved the problem. Just need to now find more ways of dramatically reducing the file size even more!
