In reply to: [Genesis Responsive Slider] Odd flashing has just appearedNick,
THANK YOU!
That does appear to have resolved the issue. But how odd that the issue has just appeared when the code has been in place for many months….
Again, many thanks for your time and expertise. Bravo.

In reply to: [Featured Authors Widget] After Update Plugin couses WP White screenYes, my client’s website also has the WP white screen of death post after the recent update.
Disabled the plugin by renaming the plugin folder on the server to bring the site back up.
Yes, that is the last line. No further progress on the back up after that line.

Any user that downloads a free plugin and then feels entitled to trash the plugin author for something that doesn’t work in a manner that exactly matches their expectations, have a nice long read with a your favorite beverage –

In reply to: [WP Edit] Looking forward to image maps againAs a developer, I know how much time – often un-billable time – goes in to coding. Especially complex coding that makes the front end function seamlessly.
Personally I have no trouble paying for premium plugins. I like the way Gravity Forms has their membership set up… annual fees with tiered pricing… one site, three sites, or the developer license.
I didn’t use too many of the functions in ultimate MCE, but from what I’ve seen in searching for an image map replacement, there aren’t too many other options – free or paid. That alone tells me you’ve got a product that is worth money.
My response to Timely:
Thanks for the update. Let me run down a confirmation checklist…
IF
– it’s not a new file
– the date/time stamp on the file is not today’s date, meaning the file hasn’t been changed by a hacker
– you have verified every line code in the file is original, unchanged, and is there for a purpose, including this one:
“str_replace( “$calnl “, ”, rtrim( $comp->$fcn(“THEN
– WordFence must have re-calibrated string of code that they’re scanning forThe string of code in question must have malicious purposes in other files, but in this plugin is not malicious. Hence the false positive.
Please affirm the IF statements.
Thank you.If you log in to the site and run a new scan it will show the file. In my case it is flagging a file in the all-in-one-event-calendar plugin:
Notified the plugin author, time.ly and am waiting to hear back. This file appears to be malicious
Filename: wp-content/plugins/all-in-one-event-calendar/lib/iCalcnv-3.0/iCalcnv.class.php
File type: Not a core, theme or plugin file.
Issue first detected: 27 secs ago.
Severity: Critical
Status NewThis file appears to be installed by a hacker to perform malicious activity. If you know about this file you can choose to ignore it to exclude it from future scans. The text we found in this file that matches a known malicious file is: “str_replace( “$calnl “, ”, rtrim( $comp->$fcn(“.
Agreed. WordFence 4.0.2 has just flagged dozens of my sites with files containing possibly containing malicious code. I’m double checking with plugin authors, but I think these are all false positives.
Gravity Forms –
wp-content/plugins/gravityforms/form_display.phpManageWP Worker plugin –
wp-content/plugins/worker/init.phpNextGen –
wp-content/plugins/nextgen-gallery-pro/modules/autoupdate/module.autoupdate.phpCais –
That was it – thank you so much!
Sorry I couldn’t find that on my own.
Best –If this is helpful, the last activity log I have is dated March 11, 2013 and contains this error:
Warning: extract() [function.extract]: First argument should be an array in /home/content/53/5012253/html/wp-content/plugins/constant-contact-api/admin/activities.php on line 88
Zack Katz,
Are you supporting your plugin? For several weeks now, when subscribers sign up on the WordPress website the information is not being transmitted over to the Constant Contact lists.
How do we troubleshoot this?

In reply to: [Firelight Lightbox] Not working with Image MapDuh!
I had not added class=”fancybox” to the code. All is working beautifully.

In reply to: [BackWPup – WordPress Backup & Restore Plugin] How to resolve this error?Casper –
Thank you for responding, and thanks for the tip.Changing the backup format to tar w/out gz did the trick. I’m now going to try this on other clients that are also throwing errors.
I know you guys going through a lot of code changes and are getting slammed with emails. Appreciate you taking the time to respond and supporting your plugin. Will definitely give you some support back $$.
fyi, no caching plugins on this site.
Thanks for getting back to me Daniel,
I’ll change that setting and hope it resolves the load issue. I think your plugin is terrific and would hate to have to stop using it.
Cheers –
