I have had the same problem today.
Noticed that this only happens when you have the ‘Menu Open Direction’ set to ‘Top’. But, if this setting is changed to any of the other options (i.e left or right), then clicking on the placeholder text simply closes the menu rather than linking to a 400 page not found error.
This is still not ideal – really the placeholder text should open the sub menus.
I too would appreciate if anyone has any ideas!
