    Hi, @ckadenge,

Just to clarify, the issue that I’m working out currently with Meta is not in relation to the Facebook for WooCommerce per se. Rather, it’s another issue that prevents us form troubleshooting the one I’ve described in this thread.

I will share the information as soon as we go through all the hoops.

    @omarfpg, hi!

Thank you for your message. We are currently going through this troubleshooting process. Unfortunately, a part of it involves going through Meta support, so it predictably is taking a lot more time than it should.

I will post an update in this thread as soon as we go completely through the process and will let you know of the outcome.

    Thanks!

    Greetings, @omarfpg!

Correct. Although majority of the items that we have added before are still visible on Instagram shop, all of them seem to not be synced (for some items we changed the pictures in WP but they remained unchanged on Instagram shop), while some items from staging environment synced with the IG shop.

Unfortunately, I can’t share the screenshot from staging environment products synced up with, since we have deleted it and raised another one, from which Facebook for WooCommerce plugin was promptly deleted to avoid syncronization.

    Thanks for your help!

    Hi, @carolm29!

Thank you for your comment. I’ll try to explain the situation, as there might be some misunderstanding going on.

We do not operate the shop in the US, and we did not use checkout function before or after the support was discontinued.

Our Instagram shop functionality has always been limited to, essentially, being a gateway to the web shop. The items data is fetched from our web shop (WordPress+WooCommerce) with the Facebook for WooCommerce plugin and displayed in Instagram shop.

The problem is that at one point, our Instagram Shop items stopped synching with our web shop. So, when we add new items or change existing ones on the web shop they remain at the initial state on Instagram shop. We thought that it is a result of the support discontinuation that’s been going on with Meta and some Instagram services.

However, several weeks ago, we have experienced the issue that I have described in the initial message of this thread. Namely, that some of the items that we have synchronized randomly with the staging environment we created for testing where Facebook for WooCommerce plugin was installed and enabled.

Just to clarify: I don’t need checkout functions on my Instagram shop. If it can be restored to the previous state and act as a gateway to our external web shop, I’ll be more than happy with that. But to do so, I need to understand why it doesn’t synchronize with my web shop, but it synchronizes with the staging environment of my web shop.

Hope I cleared out any potential confusion. Looking forward to your advice.

    Hi, @shameemreza,

    Thanks for your reply.

Do I understand correctly that the Instagram shops that were configured before the Facebook for WooCommerce plugin support was discontinued still technically work but the bugs or other functionality limitations cannot be corrected now due to support discontinuation?

If so, are there any other solutions to maintain a functioning Instagram shop that you have in mind, or would it be better to just turn it off altogether until further developments?

    Thanks again.
