my host fixed it all. it’s a wonder how different results are from one support rep to the next. thanks for all your help gang.

None of your other websites will be impacted…if you can get your host to give you a backup of your db, (don’t have them restore your site to an earlier point) just have them give you a copy of your db…then you can recover without impacting anything else on your site.

Oh, I know it could be done but my host said they will only do the restore to the whole account. I’ll see if they can do what you asked and maybe another support person will oblige.

As for the db, I can’t find it in phpmyadmin. 🙁

AHHHH! Poopsicle sticks! I guess the DB was erased when I unistalled. I checked the wp-config.php file to retrieve the name of the db and I can not find it on my server. I guess I’m out of luck!!! 🙁

As for reverting or retrieving a back up for my host I’ll have to not do that as I have multiple websites that will be affected and I can’t do that. I guess I’ll have to start from scratch again. Just sad that I lost all my past posts and all.

I should. I just copied all the data as a whole from my servers on to my laptop into a folder. Although I can get around fairly well technically I ain’t too much of a techie, so I am only assuming that I have all the database. Or at best hoping. 😉
