  • I’ve tried to upgrade from 2.8 to 2.8.3 with no success. 500 Internal Server Error to me too. I already quit using WP in other 2 blogs because of this upgrading issues..
My .https looks just like mattbettiol posted. Now I’m trying to restore all folders from a bkup. If this is not working I will try also restoring the db too.. Any further tip if this two things wouldn’t work? (apart from moving this site to other cms). Thanks in advanced.

Replay: I was working on 2.7.1 (few days ago installed and working right) when it asked me to upgrade it to 2.7.1 (which I already had!). I started the automatic install and then “500 internal server error” everywhere.
I realized that on my server appeared an empty upgrade folder and the “wp-config-sample.php” between others..

Maybe I should start all over again..

Hi valbg, Is it possible that there isn’t any “web.config” file into an Apache server?
Maybe I can’t find it because I’m working with php? All I read on google is that “web.config” works on asp.Net.
..Or maybe I’m too newbie 🙁

    Any tip please?
    thanks.. snif

Thanks esmi, I renamed all the plugins folders but still not working. I think it may asked me to upgrade to 2.7.1 like you said but that’s more weird.. because I’ve just created this blog 2 days ago installing the 2.7.1!
Maybe the better choice is to start all over again? snif..
