Yes, I scrolled all the way down in the editor, but there is no content anywhere. The lower part looks exactly the same as the upper part: completely blank.
My hosting provider is SiteGround.
I have also provided a screenshot showing the blank editor.
According to the system information from my site, the only MU-plugin listed is “Health Check Troubleshooting Mode” (version 1.9.2), which is associated with the Health Check & Troubleshooting plugin. I currently have Troubleshooting Mode disabled. I don’t see a separate MU Plugins section in the WordPress dashboard.
Here is a screenshot of the blank editor:
https://drive.google.com/file/d/1LNNpCzV2WwhY7zw3DJm84eTB9Le6iGlZ/view?usp=sharingI have now been automatically updated to WordPress 7.1. The public website still looks fine, but the Block Editor is still completely blank when I try to edit a page.
Interestingly, the Music page now displays its correct content in the dashboard, so the incorrect/mixed page content issue we previously saw in Troubleshooting Mode no longer occurs in the normal environment.
The blank editor issue therefore still occurs with both WordPress 7.0.4 and WordPress 7.1.
I also found a SiteGround notification showing that my website was automatically updated from the previous WordPress version to WordPress 7.0.1 on July 10. The Block Editor issue may therefore have started after a WordPress update. SiteGround created a backup immediately before that update. My current WordPress version is 7.0.4.
Hi,
I completed the cache test as requested.
I temporarily deactivated Speed Optimizer and flushed the SiteGround cache completely.
The result is very clear:
- With Troubleshooting Mode disabled, the Music page displays its correct content in the Block Editor.
- With Troubleshooting Mode enabled, the Music page displays the wrong content again (the homepage content).
- This happens even with Speed Optimizer disabled and the SiteGround cache completely cleared.
So caching does not appear to be the cause. The incorrect/mixed page content only occurs when WordPress Troubleshooting Mode is enabled.
Thank you for your help.
Hi,
I completed the test as requested.
In Troubleshooting Mode, I have only:
- The Events Calendar 6.17.2 activated
- Neve Free 4.1.3 active
All other plugins are disabled.
The editor still becomes completely blank when I open a page for editing.
I also opened Chrome Developer Tools → Console and reproduced the issue after refreshing the page. There are no red JavaScript errors in the Console.
So the issue is reproducible with only The Events Calendar and the free Neve theme active.
I have also taken a screenshot of the blank editor as requested.
Could you please advise on the next step?
I have also taken a screenshot of the blank editor as requested, but unfortunately the support forum does not seem to allow image attachments.
I have also checked the browser console while reproducing the issue, but there were no red JavaScript errors.Thank you!
Hi,
Thanks for your reply. I tested this as requested.
I am using the free version of Neve (4.1.3), not Neve Pro.
I activated Twenty Twenty-Four in Troubleshooting Mode and kept The Events Calendar disabled. The editor no longer becomes completely blank, but the page content is still displayed incorrectly.
For example:
- the Music page shows the content of my homepage instead of its own content;
- page content is displayed differently/mixed compared with the actual pages;
- the same issue occurs with Twenty Twenty-Four, so switching from Neve to a default WordPress theme does not resolve the problem.
Previously, we established that when The Events Calendar is enabled, the editor becomes completely blank, while disabling The Events Calendar allows the editor to load.
So at this point it seems there may be two related issues: The Events Calendar causes the blank editor, while even with it disabled there is still an issue with how the editor displays the page content.
Could you advise on the next diagnostic step?
Thanks!
