@csonnek It seems like the lag is gone. It still does try to connect to stats.wp.com (without success) but at least it’s not slowing down / pausing everything until it gets a timeout error.

I will contact you via that form once its giving me trouble again.

And btw, I can’t seem to find an option to edit my original post. I would like to remove my website address as I just started to receive emails from people offering paid support service and on the same day flagging notifications from some services (don’t know if its just coincidence). Don’t know if you have mod abilities, but if you could do it for me I would be very grateful.
