Using WP 4.7, I was having the same problem. While I’m sure there are many, the Seamless Donations plugin was causing this issue for me. After deactivating it, the popup is no longer blank.

Thanks that fixed it! I’m a little new to wp and not aware of such quirks. Yes I agree with making a call like that upon plugin activation. Anyhow, thanks again.
I’ll post separately if I run into any other problems. As for enhancements, github would probably make it easier for anyone to do that. I’ll play with it later today to see if I need to make any changes.
