After WEEKS of searching the web I finally tried one user’s suggestion. I installed the WordPress Plug-in Classic Editor. This plug-in reverts from Guttenburg back to the WordPress classic editor. The fix was immediate. Guttenburg was causing the conflict.

I had gone through every trouble shooting step including deactivating all plug-ins and changing themes. I NEVER thought about disabling WordPress….

I hope this helps someone else, as the FIRST option you try.

Now to settle in and finally update my events….
