In reply to: [Jetpack - WP Security, Backup, Speed, & Growth] can not change gallery typeMore R&D on this problem.
Completely another WPMU but on the same shared account
1. Same problem here
2. another sub-site, different theme — still the same problem.I might be surprised id this is not a JPack bug …

In reply to: [Jetpack - WP Security, Backup, Speed, & Growth] can not change gallery typeupdate to 4.4.1 and TwentySixteen latest too.
Dis-Connect==>Re-Connect JetPack
Result: none. Still can not switch the gallery type. And it is not mosaic. It is (I think it is called) “Thumbnail Grid”.Development version of this site is anakalicanin.wordpress.com, and over there we have none of these problems. Tiled galleries work fine. With the same Twenty Sixteen theme.
Then Changed to Twenty Fifteen.
And no change whatsoever.
Then switched off/on Tiled Galleries in JPack.
And no change whatsoever.
Twenty Fifteen or Syxteen… That clearly does not matter,I think by now you would want to “get in” 🙂
@jeremy Herve, thanks for the time taken.

I have the same problem. Using WP 4.4 + TwentySixteen.
Mixture of plugins is (I think) pretty usual:

In reply to: Why is wordpress.com more functional?1.
Thanks to James & Andrew for time taken.
2.
I am not confused (I hope) but lot of customers are and will be.
I think everybody knows what are we talking about here: ambiguity. Which is especially time consuming when dealing with customers coming from the dot com side. It is painfully clear re-branding of dot com or dot org side is necessary.
3.
I am not asking about any enhancement I “love” or “hate”. I am just asking for differences to be listed and detailed. That will save me a lot of time when migrating sites from dot com over to dot org side.—

In reply to: Why is wordpress.com more functional?Well I would like to disagree.
It is definitely not “entirely” or “totally” different. It is WordPress on both sides.
It is obviously more developed WP version. Even if we ignore the fact dot com is one huge WPMU topology.
I still see no reason not to give us the same WP on both sides? After all WP is free, AFAIK?
If above is official, and the decision is dot org and dot com are different, then we on the dot org side should be noted that WP free is not WP dot com and we should have the exact list of differences. For both sides benefit.
This will convince “civilians” even more to stay away from “Free WP”. So no harm will be done to the Automatic image.
And it will clarify issues considerably on the dot org side.
Good. Now we have to move to UAT stage obviously 🙂

In reply to: [Add From Server] Importing 7264 imagesNo. Neither has anybody posted a solution here … or comment …
Thus plugin is good. Multi-site operation is not good.
I suppose the logic is if someone is taking care of multisite installation that one needs no special instructions? But, I would like to disagree. This plugin needs multisite operating mode explanations. And few details to be added for operating on multi site.

In reply to: [File Away] Unable to set base directoryThom, above is an good example, of key weakness of this plugin. Somewhat peculiar UI.
There are people to which things are not “obvious”.
UI should/could be (re)done in such a way so that first time users are not put away, with “obvious” which they need to “figure out” …
For example “base directory” non editable base (left) part should not be inside the input element. Many first time users, find it “obvious” if something is inside “edit field” it is editable. Me included.Or … we have “File Up” instead of “File Upload” or just “Upload” .. yet another ever annoying peculiarity.
Please accept this as constructive comment …
“My” error is happening only with this theme. So perhaps a combination of a theme code and a plugin does cause this error.
If i switch to another theme “my” error “goes away”. Also, this started happening after upgrading to WP 4.1
Please advise?

In reply to: [All-In-One Security (AIOS) – Security and Firewall] Use on multisiteBut…Another subsite of this main site has the login captcha switched on?
Huh? What now …
ps: The “behaving” sub-site has no plugins activated. I assume “in that bush hides the rabbit” 🙂

In reply to: [All-In-One Security (AIOS) – Security and Firewall] Use on multisiteWell I think I did NOT find this true in my WPMU case?
In particular
Under “brute force” section I have setup the Login captcha on my main site.
That section does not appear on sub-sites, as advertised.
But subsite login has no captcha? Please advise …
