Eric,
Another post on this. So, I downgraded from 3.0.9 to 3.0.8 and I am having the exact same issues. Here is another screencast video of what is happening.I first show the plugins page verifying that I am on 3.0.8, then on to the issue.
One thing that I forgot to capture in the video was a view of the live gallery page on my website that shows the “no images were found” message, but I am sure at this point you can take my word that that is what I am seeing. One other question on this. When I choose an album to display and go to the “Sort or exclude images” tab, it only shows one image from each gallery, which I assume is the selected preview image for each of the galleries present in the album. Should this show all images from all galleries in the album, or is it correct in only showing the preview images? If it should only show the preview images, then I would assume that I would exclude images from a gallery by editing each gallery and checking the exclude checkbox for each one I don’t want included. If that is the case, it seems a bit backwards to me.
Thanks again for the help.
Eric,
Thanks for the reply. I know what troubleshooting is like and know the meaning of good documentation of a problem as I am a web developer myself. That is why I did the screencast videos.
I am able to access both Manage Albums and Manage Galleries from within the Gallery menu and perform all functions under there. That is where I typically manage those. I don’t usually manage them from the edit window for a blog post, it was just something I noticed when I was trying to figure out my other issue which is why I mentioned it. Anyways, here is another screencast video that shows that I have galleries selected for all 3 of my albums. It also shows that I can access the Manage Galleries functions and perform all functions from there.
So as you can see I have galleries selected for the albums under the Manage Albums page, and you can also see when I go to the Manage Galleries page that all galleries show as having images. I have not tried yet to roll back to 3.0.8. You said to try that if 1 and 2 didn’t work, but they did work as you can see from the screencast video. I am open for more suggestions. I am also a PHP programmer if there is anything that you would like me to try for fixing this.
Thanks for your help.

In reply to: [WP Statistics – Simple, privacy-friendly Google Analytics alternative] ErrorI didn’t know you could disable browscap. That’s what was throwing the error? What does that do anyway?

In reply to: [WP Statistics – Simple, privacy-friendly Google Analytics alternative] ErrorSo I logged on to my site and was uploading a video and doing some cleanup. I ended up deleting some unverified users that were suspect. A while after doing that, I happened to be looking at a page from my website and I noticed that the error at the bottom was not there. I proceeded to upgrade back to the latest wp-statistics plugin and did a test. Everything is working now. Can’t figure out why though to know what to tell the other users what to do to fix it.

In reply to: [WP Statistics – Simple, privacy-friendly Google Analytics alternative] ErrorI’m not saying that something outside of the plugin is not what’s causing it. I would like to know what ini file that parse_ini_string() method parses on line 769. If I knew that I might be able to figure out a fix.

In reply to: [WP Statistics – Simple, privacy-friendly Google Analytics alternative] ErrorCorrection, I am still getting this error. Using the older version though, the page appears to load fine, but the error is seen at the very bottom of the page instead of preventing the whole page from loading as in the newer version.

In reply to: [WP Statistics – Simple, privacy-friendly Google Analytics alternative] ErrorFor now I had an old copy of 12.0.7 that I had downloaded a long time ago, so I switched to using that. It seems to run without errors, so I am going to continue to use that until you guys get this figured out. Hopefully it’s soon because the original post on this was 4 days ago.

In reply to: [WP Statistics – Simple, privacy-friendly Google Analytics alternative] ErrorI think the other guys have a slight problem in their posting of this error. After looking at this again, it is not “Warning: syntax error, unexpected ‘)’ in …”. It is “syntax error, unexpected ‘}’ in …”.
Can you tell me what code gets evaluated at line 769 using the parse_ini_string() method? It has something to do with patterns parsed from an ini file, but without understanding more of how your code works, I can’t attempt to figure it out for myself.Forum: Plugins

In reply to: [WP Statistics – Simple, privacy-friendly Google Analytics alternative] ErrorI am assuming that this is from a recent update. It would be nice if there was a way to back up to a previous version if something like this were to happen.

In reply to: [WP Statistics – Simple, privacy-friendly Google Analytics alternative] ErrorI am having the same error. If I disable the plugin I can access my site, but then it is not logging my statistics. What do I need to do to fix this???

So for now I found a temporary workaround for anyone that stumbles onto this. It is a plugin called “Page Links To”. It allows you to create a page that contains an automatic redirect to a different URL. That URL can be a page on your site, or a page anywhere else on the net. Once that is created, just point your gallery to that page and the redirect will take you where you need to go.
Obviously this is a HACK solution, and a solution within the plugin would be better, but for a temporary workaround, it does the job.
