I think it’s a bug from a an earlier version. I was hoping that it would be fixed, but apparently not. Try this plugin: https://wordpress.org/plugins/google-sitemap-generator/
Make sure you uncheck the enable sitemap box in WordPress SEO before enabling this plugin.
There seems to be a bug in the latest version for sure.
I did have success using an earlier version of this plugin, 2.1, to create a new sitemap for sites that had used this plugin successfully in the past to generate a sitemap.
On a new site that trick did not work so I used the Google Sitemap Generator Plugin. Either I wait until a fix is issued or just continue to use the other plugin.
I uploaded a new site, using the latest version 2.1.1 of WordPress SEO and could not generate a sitemap. Rolled back to 2.1 and it still will not generate a site map.
A couple of weeks ago I had the not generating a site map issue, rolled back to 2.1 and it did work. Not this time.
I wish I could figure what the difference is, but I am stumped.
I loaded Google Site Map Generator and it works just fine, if that helps any. For now, I am sticking with that plugin.

Thanks. I kind of looked at this plugin, but decided it didn’t fit the clients needs. Who knows, they may decide they are okay with it and this does simplify the issue.
For now this item has been moved back in the importance line, but it is lurking out there. Your solution looks easy enough.

In reply to: [WooCommerce] Need a download button on images in WooCommerceI think, but I haven’t had time to actually do it.
The trick is to add some PHP (or Java Script, depending; I am probably going to use the PHP version) that I found here: http://stackoverflow.com/questions/11090272/how-can-i-force-an-image-download-in-the-browser
The guy providing the possible answer offers both versions.
I plan to use a font-awesome font as the image to click to force the download. It should work. If you try it, please let me know if it works for you.
I thought I had it nailed very easily with the HTML5
downloadcommand, but not all browsers support it.Installing the Google XML Sitemaps was my next solution. Just make sure Yoast’s site map generator is unchecked. I used to use it, but switched to WordPress SEO for the sake of simplification.
I don’t know why my solution worked for me and no one else. The sites I used this plugin on are continuing to generate XML sitemaps after the fix.
This started when I was making some changes and wanted those changes reflected in the sitemap-index, but the latest version seemed not to generate new sitemaps, just 404 pages. I went back to latest version that I knew worked, installed that one and got the sitemaps to generate.
Reinstalled the last version and the maps are still there. I am going to leave it alone for a while. Time and tweaking by Yoast will fix it eventually. If not, there is always a plan B.
First deactivate WordPress SEO and then remove it from your plugins.
Then go here: https://wordpress.org/plugins/wordpress-seo/developers/ and look for 2.1(svn). When you click on the link it will start a download the 2.1 version. Download this version of your plugin and then upload it to your plugins and activate it.
You can generate an XML sitemap from there.
I deleted the current version of the plugin 2.1.1 and reinstalled the previous version, 2.1. The plugin is generating sitemaps again, so there is something buggy about 2.1.1 and generating sitemaps.
@kirkm, your situation is the same as mine. Google Analytics says it is receiving the data, which means I guess Google and the plugin are communicating, which is good. Just can’t get the data on my end.
I should note here the issue has long ago been resolved. GoDaddy had nothing to do with the problem and it was an upgrade from iThemes causing the issue.
The fix was to first deactivate the plugin and remove it from the MySQL database and the reactive it. That worked and I have had no issues since.
That said, GoDaddy did take the opportunity to try to sell me on their WP dedicated server. Still on the shared server.

In reply to: [YITH WooCommerce Product Gallery & Image Zoom] Images are not zoomed inWhat settings are you using on the zoom. I can’t get my zoom to get as big as yours.
I did find my problem and fixed it with more than a bit of help from @niklasteich.
The problem I was having was on a “Our Blog” page and I was getting “node empty” warnings as well as missing url messages for the last breadcrumb. The two were related and the missing mode notice triggered the breadcrumb error.
The missing node Google Webmaster Tool warned me about was the featured image displayed on the page as part of the blog excerpt. Using the structured data tool, I labeled this page as an article and identified the image as part of it. That solved the problem.
Really, a lot of nothing to me on Google’s part, but who am I to complain?

The fix you suggested worked. Now five stars and the support is great.

In reply to: [Visual Slide Box Builder] Title is not showI have the same issue. The title does not show when the box is published. I can see it when creating the box, but when the short code is inserted, it does not show up. The text is okay, just the title does not show up.
