A bit of an update to this.
I managed to get the categories by adding them as tags, then using the tags to categories plugin.
However, another problem has come up from the same issue – I cannot add custom fields, the same thing happens with the red box.
I am using a free host, so perhaps there’s something which they don’t have installed? If so, can you advise what it might be?
Does anyone know of a way to add custom fields without using the wp-admin?
