I have no plugins installed that are handling spam, comments, etc. – if so, than it is a plugin that does something else.
Other than that: No, there is no preloading extension.

no, Askimet isn’t enabled or installed, but comments are in trash nevertheless.

In reply to: Comments in trash folder – no spamIt applies to 80% of my comments and several email addresses. All are private (mum, dad, friends…). So I think it wouldn‘t effect so much comments.

thanks for your input. I reseached on that as well – and I‘m pretty sure that was the reason. After updating the plugin everything seems fine.
Still wondering why WordPress allows registration as Admin. Seems like a huge security problem.

The attacker was able to change the setting for registration of new users back to „on“ with the change that new users are created as admin.Luckily he just changed the site url which was fixable via database.
But looks like a huge backdoor somewhere in WordPress, huh? Why is there even a setting to create new users as admin? Isn‘t that a security problem for itself?

thanks for the quick first reply. I followed all steps, but no result. All scanners don‘t report a problem. All files look fine from the first „scan“.
Does someone knows this concrete hack and how to fix it?

Some of the receipients received the mail, some not. So there are some emails going out, but not close to all.BTW: Is the plugin using PHPmailer, or another technology?

I tried a reschuleing again today and I noticed that the job is listed on the plugin page. But no email is sent out at all.
It‘s very strange, because it worked serveral times. Any ideas how to fix that?

I tested both ways. Rescheduling and new publishing. Both were not successful. How to restore the email sending functionality? (No other changes have been made on server or WordPress installation since last email and today.)

thanks for the quick reply and considering this function for the roadmap.
I tried the workaround as well and set the date of the same article to the future. One 5 minutes ahead, one 10 minutes ahead. That didn‘t work. Did you mean to publish the article as a completely new post with new ID – not just reschueduling the old one?
