Is there a timeline of the “Verbose title options” feature (#140)?

When it comes to prefix and suffix I’ll experiment with the functions. I think a field in the settings would add great value in configuring it via WP admin. Any plans / timeline for that?

Yes, true.

I am aware of the SEO relevance. But as my current theme is doing the “suboptimal” choice of headlines, I want to leave it like that – as I’m already changing a lot of things with the relaunch of the website.

If there is a reasonable solution, I am happy to hear more about it. If it’s close to impossible, I am fine with that as the theme does nothing wrong.

I would definitely find a solution for (2), but I am wondering if there is an easy way to solve (1). GP is such a brillant solution for all my needs and I’m close to purchasing it.

The only problem is the structure of the site which contains of 5 parent pages with 20-30 subpages each. And: Most of the people come via Google, therefore never see an expanded menu in normal state. It would be nessacary for me to show the user where he is and offer them other pages of the same category.

Possible solutions:

– (As described and prefered) Keep the menu open for the current parent page. I found a CSS snippet in the premium forums (thread “Vertical menu with collapsible subitems”, not sure if I’m allowed to link it here) to keep all items of the menu open – wouldn’t it be possible to limit that to the current parent page? When is GP 2.3 released and how would the solution look like then? Will there be a solution then or is it just a guess right now?

– To just show the parent pages in the main navigation, but show all its current sub pages in a second navigation (but just the pages of the current parent page). Is there a soltution for that?

Does it make sense to purchase and do further investigating with other users in the official forums? I’m willing to do that – but I think it makes only sense if there could be a solution.

Thanks for a brillant project and congrats to the best theme every built. I wish me luck for a solution on this point. 😉 As already mentioned – when we can find a solution for that, I purchase right away. 🙂

Hi there,

I found a solution for the first part.
The menu didn’t work for the standard menu, but as soon as I created a custom menu, it shows all entries.

What remains: How can I acheive that the menu is still expanded (remains “open”) for sub pages. I open a sub page – so I want the menu to still list the subpages?
