Thanks, I rolled back the upgrade just to be on the safe side.
My database seems to be 2.5, I just ran the 2.5 upgrade.php again to check.
I’ll do a check/repair before trying the upgrade again.

I’ve just written a plugin to do this for my own sites. It would allow you to take labs.com and dogs.com and point them at the same WordPress site, and have WordPress show a different site name and URLs for each one. I’m working on the next version that changes the Tag line too. It doesn’t change anything else but that could be added. You’ll find it here:
