Solved I think. You must do a sql call (using $wpdb->num_rows) to get a value.
Similar question. Does it use Server Time local or UTC?
I am in Australia, server in California and tricky to know when backup to Dropbox occurs. Could the plugin have a flag file that indicates start time, finish time?
