In reply to: Website and log in page goneHi ClaytonJames thanks for the reply. To be honest I have no idea. I didn’t update manually to WordPress 4.2.2
The last time I logged in to make a post was back in April and the site was fine then. I updated a few plug ins then – askimet etc. Just routine stuff.Forum: Installing WordPress

In reply to: Can't install WPOK thanks.
I’ll check the link. Wish I’d found that first! Unfortunately this didn’t appear at the top of search results when I tried to narrow it down by googling ‘installing wordpress to fasthosts‘!
I’ve already moved all wordpress files / deleted / uploaded etc at least 5 times post install! Unfortunately this has been part of the process of trying to work things out.
Basically this sums it up rather well! http://www.anm-home.net/want-to-use-wordpress-with-fasthosts-dont-bother/

In reply to: Can't install WPCheers Esmi, I’ve tried installing it without, but it doesn’t work, it says it can’t install without a wp-config.php file.
I was using this as a guide: http://vimeo.com/5993338 but I don’t think I’m on Linux.
So I’ve since created a sub folder called ‘blog’ in the root directory on filezilla. With or without a wp-config.php file this is what I’m gettin getting now:
“Not Found
The requested URL /wp-login.php was not found on this server”.Now I’m putting the ‘blog’ folder in htdocs and I’m still getting:
“Not found.. on this server”.I now think I’ve deleted something important from the root drive.
Any suggestions???

In reply to: Can't install WPOh and Filezilla keeps disconnecting, dispaying errors and failing to reconnect. But it does connect again when I need it to usually on the 2nd or 3rd attempt. Is this normal?
