I understand the part that I have an FTP account, but I don’t understand that “your server itself may run using a separate user.” A separate user?

In reply to: Cannot upload a jpeg file to media libraryI searched online to find out what’s wrong, and one thing everyone suggests is to change the file permission setting in the uploads folder, using a FTP program. I have my wordpress set in my local computer so I am not using any FTP program. I went to the uploads folder using the normal windows file browser, and I cannot find “file permission” anywhere. So I downloaded Filezilla to see if I can find that there, but I don’t know how to get connected. What do I type in for the login slots?

ID: my wordpress site ID
passward: my wordpress site password
Port: ???All other JPEG files can be uploaded. Only SOME of the photoshop-created files (Some CAN be uploaded) cannot be uploaded.
