Forum: Fixing WordPress
In reply to: “Add To Menu” now not workingYay!
I’ve spent my entire day wrestling with this issue, and if i would have just disabled all the plugins I would have found the issue a lot quicker. Thanks for having me go back to check “All” the plugins.
So recently I transferred this website from a bluehost hosting account to a godaddy hosting account. When you install wordpress on a bluehost server, bluehost takes the liberty to install one of their plugins called “Mojo Market Place” by default.
That plugin is a plugin designed to generate more sales for bluehost, so it has no value by being on a godaddy server, it just happened to hitchhike it’s way there.
I made the mistake of thinking the defaults plugins wouldn’t be an issue, that the issue would stem from a newer plugin, so they were overlooked all together.
So be weary of hosting provider’s defaulted plugins when transferring to a site to a new host!
Thanks again!

In reply to: [NextScripts: Social Networks Auto-Poster] Unable to Connect to FacebookI should also note that I did add the domain (With www. & without www.)to the facebook app settings, I didnt stop getting the error. I’ve also tried in another browser in case it was a chaching issue… which it was not.
That worked!! I was getting a little nervous there for awhile. I can say you have the best migration tool available… it really does make it easy. If it was not for this little hiccup it would have been perfect on my side.
Just curious, would it be wise for me to create a new .htaccess file? The original one that i deleted didn’t have anything special in it, so I do not know if it will hurt anything if that file isn’t present, even if there was nothing added to it.
Thanks a million for replying to this! I did attempt to edit my div container and set the height accordingly… sadly, however, it did not fix the issue. The content area itself did extended to the height that I designated. But the slideshow still shrank down to thumbnails, and now i have a bigger and still empty content area. I tried messing with the html and css to see if I could figure something else out, but I guess in the end Artisteer’s code is doesn’t work very well with the NextGen Slideshow, and there isn’t an easy way to deal with it. For this particular project, I’m going with another slideshow that worked fine on the first try. I will still use NextGen in the future with other project so long as I can get Artisteer and NextGen to play nice. Just curious though… how were you able to view the code and determine that it was created using artisteer? I think the fact you can tell is more intriguing to me at this point lol. Thanks again for the help!

As a side note.. when the page is loading at first, it appears like the images are going to display correctly… the page renders with enough space for the 800×533 and I can see a large “loading” logo in the middle of the page. But then when the page finally loads, all the extra space disappears and replaced with a tiny thumbnail of my larger images.
