In reply to: [Stop Spammers Classic] Do I really need the CloudFlare plugin?“So I did what it said, and installed the CloudFlare plugin, but because I have CloudFlare through my host (never signed up for a CloudFlare account), I don’t have any login credentials or API key to enter into the CloudFlare plugin.”
Activating through a hosting provider would actually have created a CloudFlare account for you (you should have received an email regarding this as well). You would find your API key in your CloudFlare account under the ‘Account’ link. The email address for the account is probably what is tied to your hosting provider’s account.

In reply to: [jsDelivr - Wordpress CDN Plugin] An unexpected error occuredHi,
That error (520) is generally going to happen if large/duplicate cookies or headers are being returned. Are you sending large cookies or headers?

In reply to: [Cloudflare] Traffic drop after CloudflareHi,
What do you mean your traffic dropped? We actually shouldn’t impact your traffic to any degree. Did you change your preference from justjuice.org to http://www.justjuice.org in Google Webmaster Tools?

In reply to: Massive download time on tiny images“I’ve tried putting my site on Cloudflare, no difference.”
I *think* I found your site & it looks like you activated through a CloudFlare hosting partner. Are you checking www or the root domain?

In reply to: [WHMCS Bridge] WHMCS Bridge and CloudflareHi,
We do have to be on (not paused) for PageRules to work. Try clearing your browser cache as well to see if that helps with us on.

In reply to: [Cloudflare] HTTPS and WWW with Cloudflare?“If I want to sign up for Cloudflare directly rather than sign up for Cloudflare through my webhosting company Hostgator, can I still use Cloudflare in conjunction with the SSL provided by Hostgator?”
Yes. You would want to make sure you’re choosing the FULL SSL option with SSL directly on your server.
“Or in order to use Cloudflare directly, do I need to jettison my current SSL and get SSL through Cloudflare?”
No, you would still want to keep the SSL on your server for the best security.“Also, I have Wordfence Security installed on my website. Do you know if Cloudflare and Wordfence are compatible with each other? “
Should be ok as long as two things are set:1. Make sure CloudFlare’s IPs aren’t blocked/limited in WordFence or on your server.
2. I would strongly recommend installing the CloudFlare WordPress plugin or mod_cloudflare to make sure the original visitor IPs are showing. Since we act as a reverse proxy for websites, our IPs will show unless something is installed to restore visitor IP.
We try:)

In reply to: [Cloudflare] HTTPS and WWW with Cloudflare?“Cloudflare only works on websites that have www in the URL?)”
This is not true & only applies to hosting partner signups (activating through their panel). Customers that don’t have/don’t want www can simply signup for CloudFlare directly.
“Hi, I have a WordPress website equipped with SSL. Using a bit of code that I added to my .htaccess file, my website redirects visitors to https on all my web pages”
If you are trying to activate the free SSL option, I do need to advise that this is only possible when you signup for CloudFlare directly (not available through a hosting partner signup). Some tips that might help configuring Flexible SSL with WordPress, if that’s what you’re trying to activate through CloudFlare.
Hi,
We have a number of customers using both products. Probably the only thing I would recommend relative to CloudFlare is making sure that you have the CloudFlare Wordress plugin or mod_cloudflare installed (restores visitors IPs so CloudFlare’s don’t show).
“website’s speed beyond what I’m already getting with Falcon Engine”
Can’t really answer this about their product. My hunch is that we will help a fair amount because of the size of the CloudFlare network/CDN.
Hope that’s it. Let us know if that works!
Hi,
I’m thinking that WordFence might be seeing our ips because we’re a reverse proxy. Do you have the CloudFlare WordPress plugin or mod_cloudflare installed?

In reply to: [WordPress HTTPS (SSL)] NO SSL for XP UsersHi,
Just to clarify a little for others that may read this post…
The free Universal SSL has browser limitations; our standard SSL on a paid plan does not have these same limitations.
We would generally recommend that site owners consider offering something like A Better Browser to actually encourage users using old browsers to upgrade (makes things safer for the end user & Microsoft is going to kill off XP eventually).

In reply to: [Cloudflare] Question About Askimet & CloudflareHere’s how our plugin works relative to spam:
“Every time you click the ‘spam’ button on your blog, this threat information is sent to CloudFlare to ensure you are constantly getting the best site protection.”
The information from Akismet is not passed off to us automatically.
Where does your spam seem to be originating from? Have you tried adjusting your CloudFlare Basic Security Level to a higher level?
We have SSLv3 disabled across the network.
Note: This Flexible SSL plugin was not developed by CloudFlare.

In reply to: Cloudflare error message???Hi,
This really isn’t an issue with a plugin (plugins don’t activate our service). The domain is signed up for our service & pointing to our nameservers.
