It fixed itself. I guess it was a glitch???
I’m not sure how to fix your homepage situation. However if you want a different landing page for each Project Type, you can have that displayed automatically with the portfolio shortcuts. Check out this link: Portfolio shortcuts
Basically you’ll have to (1) Create a new page for each project type, (2) Add the correct portfolio shortcut code in the body text for each page

WP Admin -> Settings -> Reading -> Posts page: (select the page you want to display your blogroll )
