and what folder do I place it in so when I type in http://www.example.com it comes up as that and not http://www.example.com/wordpress.
My domain is in /public_html/example. in this folder was CGI-Bin and two other files .ht and .htaccess. If I install wordpress in this folder I have to type in http://www.example.com/wordpress to see the site. I have attempted to open wordpress in my ftp and upload all files within to /public_html/example but when i do this I get errors when I click on any links and I am also unable to log in as it seems to be searching for http://www.example.com/wordpress.
