Yea.. found that already right after I posted the comment (and felt stupid :D). However there is nothing on the CRON job log except the below. If its going to take a while to generate more, wouldn’t mind to keep an eye on it… and post more here.

@chesio no it wasn’t enabled and I also unchecked the auto backup (for now). Just enabled both and would appreciate where I can get this debug info (sorry but I’m not a WP dev).
I can confirm this same bug as it backs up every hour and keeps all its backup regardless of its settings (week, day, hour). We came to know this bug when our current hosting company blocked our upload ability due to over 20GB storage limit.
Our current setup is :
