    Hey Kaspar,

Thanks for adding this to the update. Getting there, but still not quite working 100%.

Following the update the widget context settings now show in a cforms II widget on the sidebar area. But if I add any settings such as front page or target by URL (I’ve tried most of them that I can with my site), they simply don’t work. I click save, then check the site out, it hasn’t worked. Then go back into the widgets admin area and open the dropdown for the cforms II widget and the settings I have input have all cleared.

Any clue what’s up with this now? Really appreciating the help and support so far though, so thanks.

    Cheers,

    Rob

    Hey Kaspars,

Just to say that I updated to 0.8.1 this morning with regards to the other post about cforms II widgets.

However, I decided to deactivate it, then update, then activate. I lost all the settings again and had to redo them. Not sure if this was as a result of the update or the deactivate and activate???

    Cheers,

    Rob

I’ll be honest, I’m fairly new to using WordPress, as I tend to code most of my sites from scratch. Could you elaborate on the above please for a newbie, in particular the ‘legacy’ and in_widget_form filter. I’d appreciate it very much. I trust you are familiar with cforms II? Would you know what they use, perhaps I need to pose the question to them. But need to know what I’m talking about first.

How do you post screenshots on here. Can I just link to a pic hosting site like Photobucket?

    Thanks,

    Rob

    Sorry, not clear, but my lists obviously didn’t include a. , b. , c.! ;o)

Firstly, thanks for the swift response Kaspars.

If I was to revert back to version 0.7.2 from the above link, I trust I can simply replace the plugin folder documents? Will the database content remain the same?

The URL of the site is:

    http://www.kingstonbarnes.com/

However, my client was keen to get the site looking fairly presentable straight away so has re-input all of the target by URL requirements. The only thing we couldn’t reinstate for now was a single form (cforms), but I’ll post in the other thread about that.

Some examples of URL patterns were:
    1) Front (home) page only check box ticked
    2) Show only on target by URL: listed as follows:
    a. /about
    b. /clients
    c. /testimonials
    3) Hide from target by URL: listed as follows:
    a. /contact
    b. /clients

Something along those lines. The URL path system hasn’t changed that I can see (although glad you lost the incorrect examples in the text below). Having redone the URL’s the above examples are working fine.

So as long as I can sort out the cforms II plugin issue I think I’m ok. Will reply over in that post.

Although from a version release view, it will need looking at, just unsure why the information wasn’t retained?

    Kind regards,

    Rob
