Did you ever get a resolution to this? I’ve run into the same problem. I have used the plugin for years, but suddenly nobody can login now to the site. I’ve disabled all plug-ins installed after the latest version of wp-members. But as long as wp-members is activated, any attempt to login fails, even from the wp-login.php form (from that page I get the error “ERROR: User has not been activated.”). Once I disable wp-members, it works fine.
I’m running the latest version of WP, v 4.9.6. Could there be an incompatibility with it?
