I ended up using JJ NextGen JQuery Carousel plugin. Offered a few additional customization options (like adding custom skins). Works great vertical or horizontal.
Elija or Sergey – would either of you happen to know whey the Sponsors Carousel is only displaying vertically? It doesn’t look like the screenshot at all. And it doesn’t scroll.
I’m using wp 3.3.1.
