In reply to: Tried to make Monotone a bit of my own – comments welcomeTry this: in the file style.css, around line 40 you should read
body{font:normal 75%/1.6em "Lucida Sans","Lucida Grande","Trebuchet MS",Georgia,Helvetica,sans-serif;color:#444;background-color:white;}
Just change background-color:white; to background-color:black; and it should be ok.I developed my own version of Monotone theme, it’s called Heartspotting. Give it a try by downloading it here, and let me know if you like it.
BTW: looks like you messed up with the title of the page too… check out that one as well!

In reply to: Prevent Image Download as Monotone doesSorry for being so dumb! One of the first things of Monotone I changed was the links over the images (i.e. if you click on the left half of the image it will go to the previous image, and if you click on the right half it will go to the next). That’s why you can’t drag and drop – there’s a layer over the image. So now this should be easy to achieve for a CSS expert!

In reply to: Monotone theme– problem with margin around image…I think I got jsamlarose’s point – Monotone doesn’t “shrink” to the width of your image, it’s just got two widths: 540 px and 720 px. If your image is one of those widths, it will display without margins, otherwise it will display with.
You should try to tweak the settings in /wp-admin/options-media.php of your blog so you can display your images in one of these two widths.Forum: Themes and Templates
In reply to: Prevent Image Download as Monotone doesI am working with monotone right now (you can see a version I modified slightly @ http://www.cuorhome.net/heart-images), and it drags and drops as usual. Or it’s just me having a Mac?
